This Week’s Reflection
Because all the fullness of God was pleased to live in Christ, and God reconciled all things to God’s self through Christ—
whether things on earth or in the heavens when Christ brought peace by dying on the cross.~Colossians 1:20
Hallelujah! We are a people of reconciliation! Our text from Colossians 1 tells us that. And, the scripture goes on to tell us that we engage that reconciliation living our faith in action, not allowing ourselves to drift away from the hope promised by the Good News of Christ in us (v. 23).
As we pray about and, perhaps, feel awareness of ourselves as reconciled to God through the gift of the love of Jesus, we may also ask ourselves about what it means to be reconciled with ourselves. And, we may reflect on the range of ways reconciliation may be experienced and expressed with others across time within and external to our LGBTQI+ communities. Finally, as we explore reconciliation, we may notice that our Colossians text encourages us to consider reconciliation with this living planet, the beings with whom we share it, and realms beyond it.
This Sunday, please join us for our MCCDC Borderfree Worship at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Eastern, in-person and online as we rejoice in the realities and possibilities sacred reconciliation.

Christ is the Life of All Things and Each Thing, the infinite is the infinite, creating in us and with us, and calling us to abundant life and creative transformation for ourselves and all creation. ~Theologian/Pastor Bruce Epperly
Thank You for your Generosity
Generosity Prayer #19
by Clara Carter, MCCDC Prayer Supporter
“God, what is it You want to do through us?” —MCCDC
Dear God, thank you for watching over us and protecting us as we go about our daily lives. There is no greater love than the love you give us. Each time we ask “God, what is it you want to do through us,” help us search our hearts and respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. We are grateful for Your wisdom and guidance in all that Metropolitan Community Church of Washington DC and associate ministries are doing for all people regardless of gender, economic status, race, cultural differences, or religion. Thank you for the opportunities and blessings to continue growing a faith-raising generosity for sharing all our precious gifts within a “church without borders.” We are “full to the brim” and overflowing with prayers for a more prosperous inclusive Christian community. Thank You in your many names. Amen!
“Let your light so shine before all people, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Creator which is in heaven.” ~Matthew 5:16 (KJV, alt.)
