Borderfree Worship

MCCDC will begin “borderfree” worship services on Sunday, August 8, 2021.

You’re invited to continue attending virtually via live stream or join us in person at Fifth & Ridge in Washington, DC.

What is Borderfree Worship? It is worship that connects the in-person experience with the virtual experience, free of the walls of church and home. It also reaches freely through time zones and borders as we grow through global participation. Instituting “borderfree” worship has been our goal even prior to the pandemic. We are committed to ensuring that both in-person and online worship continue to be powerful, connected experiences.

If you’re thinking about joining us in person, we ask you to follow this checklist:

  • Let us know you’re coming by the Thursday prior to Sunday worship at checkin.mccdc.com or call the church office at 202-638-7373.
  • If you’re not feeling well, please stay at home.
  • Wear a mask properly at all times.
  • Conduct any pre- or post-worship socializing outdoors.
  • Practice physical distancing. Be respectful of others’ personal space.
  • Follow posted instructions and direction from staff, ushers and volunteers.
  • Bring your own Bible. (Visit bible.com for a free digital edition with 2,400 translations.)
  • Pre-print the worship folder from bulletin.mccdc.com or be prepared to pull it up via your smartphone or tablet. It’s generally updated every Friday.
  • Consider making your offering via donate.mccdc.com or by texting GIVE to 202-999-3841. We will have stationary baskets available to drop off checks and cash.

For now, all other church activities and events remain virtual.

Please contact church administrator Melvin Moore Adams at churchoffice@mccdc.com or 202-638-7373 with questions.
