It undoubtedly comes as no surprise to say that we are living through trying times, so often expressed by sharp divisions between individuals and groups with radically different views. We are, it seems, suffering with serious social disease.
Lately I have been yearning for healing even though I do not hear the word used in public discourse. And I admit that I am inspired by the story in 2 Kings of Naaman, the warrior who is healed of leprosy by resort to nature.
But even that story is marked by troubles at the ancient time. And now the healer needs healing, too.
Join us This Sunday at 10:30AM on-site, on-line or later on-demand.
In Healing,
Rev. Dr. Robin Hawley Gorsline

Pathways to Generosity, Prayer #148
by Clara Carter, MCCDC Prayer Supporter
“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Dear God, thank you for being with us in all things taking place in our lives at any time, whether it is joyful or when we are overwhelmed with grief. We pray to walk by faith and trust you regardless of circumstances and situations when we become unsure and troubled. God, you know our wishes, our dreams, and our struggles that weave within the fabric of our lives. Help us to be willing to walk by faith, and be patient as we wait accordingly as you have purposed for our lives. God, we pray to endure without complaining and remain grateful during tumultuous upheavals. Let us not sink into despair and hopelessness over political intentions to project lack upon various communities.
Let your loving light shine through us to gather more souls into your spiritual realm. Allow your abundance and prosperity to overflow all people and plant the seed of love and kindness that everyone share generously of your abundance to further spread the gospel and help others in need. Thank you for the abundance of financial gifts, time, talents, skills, and treasures. Thank you, God, for all spiritual places of worship throughout the world, a beloved community where everyone is invited to partake of your grace and mercy. We pray to remain steadfast in our endeavor to accomplish the vision and mission before us. Thank you in your many precious names! Amen.
“I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:12-13 ESV
