May we find moments of encounter
even in isolation.
May we find stories and memories
even in the most complicated corners.
~ Pádraig Ó Tuama
In a time when our world often feels divided and fractured, the words of Isaiah 56:1-8 offer a hopeful and compelling vision: God’s love is radically inclusive, extending welcome, dignity, and belonging to all.
But what does radical inclusion mean in our daily lives? It begins with a willingness to listen deeply, to embrace “both-and” thinking, and to ask an important question: Whose voice is missing?
Who has not been invited into the conversation, welcomed into the community, or given the opportunity to share their gifts and perspectives? As Visions, Inc. reminds us, genuine dialogue creates space for every voice to be heard. This is not only good communication, it is a faithful expression of God’s love.
As we gather this week, we will explore what it means to practice such welcome in a world that often encourages us to separate ourselves from those who are different. How do we build relationships across differences? How do we honor the dignity of those on the margins, those who feel like outsiders, and those whose experiences are unlike our own? And how might God be inviting us to greater compassion, openness, and understanding, both toward others and within ourselves?
Through the prophet Isaiah, the Spirit calls us to imagine and create communities where all people know they are beloved, valued, and welcomed. Join us as we reflect on this call and consider how it shapes our ministry, our relationships, and our lives.
We invite you to join us Sunday at 10:30 a.m. ET, on site or online, or later on demand. We look forward to being together in community.

Peace,
Rev Cathy Alexander
Associate Pastor
