Pastor Reflection
“Allow the way to your great work to be guided by your service to others.”~ Mollie Marti
Every day provides a new and updated perspective of the circumstances surrounding current health situation. Each day also provides opportunities for innovative acts of kindness and love. Our MCCDC community is a strong, connected and caring community and we now have the opportunity to care for each other. Continue to stay connected by phone, text, and video. Attend webinars and chats and conference calls to learn, to release and to be in community. Record yourself in some way (singing, reading a poem or scripture) and share it. Know that you are being prayed for. As our quote encourages, allow these works to be guided by service to others.
In this week’s scripture, John 13: 4-16, Jesus provides an example for servant leadership to his followers by washing their feet. He proves how one can be a leader and servant and a teacher. In these times especially, leaders are called to serve their constituents in responsible and creative ways. Jesus took seriously all of his roles; leader, guide, teacher, truth teller, compassion giver, way maker, life giver, path creator. We too are called to follow this example and do our best to “know these things and do them.”
Thank You
Katie June Keith was baptized at MCCDC in 1993. She lived in the area and had a long and successful career as a tag and title clerk at some of the area’s top dealerships. She passed on July 11, 2019 and provided a very generous legacy gift to her church.
Please consider Katie’s example and remember your MCCDC family when doing your estate planning. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Please see any board member for more details.

• Stay home when feeling sick [yet stay in touch with friends and family in other ways]
