Bible in 90 days – 90 DAYS, 90 PEOPLE
In 2011 and 2013, MCCDC started the New Year with an invitation: to read the entire Bible in 90 days as a group. It was a joy to see many in the congregation begin the New Year with such a life changing opportunity. Both years, we publically celebrated the accomplishment of those who were able to see this through.
Looking ahead to 2015, let’s take the journey to a new level! I’m setting a goal for 90 members/friends of MCCDC to sign up for this 90 Day Challenge. To support you, there will be weekly meetings on Thursday nights (so Tuesday Night Bible Study and Choir Folk can attend) to support each other and discuss what we are reading. This will be especially helpful navigating the pages of Numbers!
Johanna Hardy ministered as Co-Lead for the program in 2011 and 2013 and has agreed to step up again for 2015. We are seeking a Co-Lead to team up with her in leading the program, including some of the Thursday night meetings. If you are called to this, please email RevCathy@mccdc.om
We encourage you to get a copy of The Bible in 90 Days: Cover to Cover in 12 Pages a Day Edition of the Bible. Copies are available wherever books are sold, and there are electronic and audible versions also available. Copies will soon be available at the church. You may use the 90 Day reading plan that works with any Bible. However, Johanna has noticed that people who use the 90 Day Edition are more likely to meet their goal. The 12 page per day breakdown makes the process doable!
The reading will begin on January 1 and continue through Epiphany, Lent and Easter. All who complete the challenge will be recognized on a Sunday for this significant accomplishment. And Rev. Cathy and I will also host a Victory Celebration Party.
Plan now to join the 90/90 Challenge!
