“I alone know my plans for you, says the Lord. My plans are for your prosperity and my purpose is not to harm you. My purpose is to give you hope with a future in it.”  ~Jeremiah 29:11

I’m excited about 2015. It holds the promise to be a breakthrough year for MCCDC. I invite you to join me in helping to determine and create our future.

In the months ahead we are inviting our whole congregation into the spiritual practice of discerning our direction for the years ahead. A series of holy conversations will provide opportunities for prayerful reflection, creative dreaming and meaningful dialogue.  These conversations will inspire and inform a clear sense of mission and powerful vision to bring transformation and blessing to many more people in the years ahead.

You are invited to participate in an important online Congregational Life Survey in preparation for our first of three congregational forums.  The first forum is on March 14 and will be facilitated by Rev. Elder Don Eastman.  The survey begins now. Although the survey typically takes less than 15 minutes to complete, it will provide some of the most comprehensive information we have ever gathered about congregational life at MCCDC.  It is very important for everyone to participate in this online survey.  The online survey is open now until noon on February 24, 2015.

Your views and voice are vital as we continue to think and pray about what God is calling us to become and be doing in the years ahead!

Plan now to attend the forum on Saturday, March 14. Thank you in advance for helping us work together to create our powerful vision for years ahead.  Indeed, God gives us a hope with a future in it!

Faithfully,
Rev. Dwayne
