For those of you who were not able to make it, we talked primarily about (1) What is the purpose/mission of reading the Bible in 90 Days, (2) Tips for keeping up with the reading, (3) What participants hope they will get out of reading the Bible in 90 days, and (4) some highlights from the first day of reading in Genesis.

Background

For the third time, MCC-DC has embarked on an incredible journey, to read the Bible in 90 days!

It truly is an amazing experience. You can use your own Bible or we recommend using the official “Bible in 90 Days” Bible, which is specially formatted to easily follow the daily reading of 12 pages.
Participants should have begun reading 2 January (12 pages if you’re using the specially formatted Bible).

See the Reading Schedule below if you are using your own Bible.

We will meet every Wednesday at 7 pm.  We started January 2, 1013 and will end during the Easter season.

Even if you can’t make the weekly discussion, sign up and we will still encourage you and pass on tips to help you complete the Bible (every word) in 90 days.

Sunday Morning Worship
9am & 11am

Diverse
MCCDC is home to one of the denomination's most diverse congregations. While some say that the most segregated times of the week is on Sunday morning, you'll find nothing further than the truth about our church. Our rich diversity is also reflected in our worship styles. All of our Sunday worship reflects a blended style. The 9am worship service features more traditional elements of Christian worship while our 11am worship is more contemporary and charismatic.

Music
Since our founding in the early 1970s, MCCDC's worship has been known for its excellence in Music Ministry. Now, our choirs help usher in a highly engaging spirit to our Sunday worship.

Communion
As part of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, we offer communion at all of our worship services. We practice an open communion. One does not need to be a part of this church or any church to partake of God's gifts at the Communion Table. We offer communion with or without short prayer. We welcome all to God's table.
